Rob Kirwan is a Grammy nominated producer, engineer and mixer who has worked at the cutting edge of music for over 25 years.
Rob’s vast amount of experience across a wide variety of genres allows him to identify the distinctive elements of an artist’s sound, then enhance these elements to ensure an artist’s individuality flourishes.
His exceptional engineering and technical abilities, strong ideas and creativity have enabled Rob to forge a successful career working with many diverse artists including PJ Harvey, Depeche Mode, Editors, Glasvegas, Orbital, St Lucia, Bell X1, The Horrors, Hozier and U2. Rob works out of the state-of-the-art 80 Hertz Studios in Manchester, a city steeped in musical history which produced the likes of The Smiths, Joy Division, The Bee Gees and Oasis.
His arsenal of high-end outboard, vintage microphones and audio gear ensures all bases are covered, however Rob is able to adapt to all studio environments and has worked in a variety of studios all around the world. Recent work includes projects with PJ Harvey, Lola Young and Placebo.
